GISSV welcomes students from all cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color or nationality. 一年级后入学的所有儿童都必须具备德语知识. If attendance at GISSV is not possible because of language barriers, we recommend our Saturday School or private tutors. 作为一所由德国政府认可的学校，GISSV也可以在当前学年整合来自德国的学生.

进入幼儿组的儿童必须至少2岁才能入学(9月30日之前)，年龄不能超过2岁.9 years of age on the first day of school.

进入学前班的儿童必须在入学当年的11月1日前满3岁.

进入幼儿园的儿童必须在进入幼儿园那年的9月1日之前满5岁.

进入一年级的儿童必须在他们进入一年级那年的9月1日之前满6岁.

所有3岁及以上的孩子在上学前必须接受如厕训练.

请注意，加州的法律现在要求所有学校的孩子都要接种疫苗，不再允许个人信仰的豁免. 这项法律适用于所有GISSV学生，无论你的家庭来自哪个国家.

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS

In general, 入学期开始于新学年开始前的12月和1月. Enrollment is possible throughout the school year based on availability. 请注意，我们不允许学龄前儿童在2月底后进入本学年，这是出于对顺利过渡和融入课程的考虑, 在童年早期，哪一点对于一个成功的学校经历尤其重要.

Documents needed for all applicants:

The following documents need to be provided at the time of enrollment :

• Enrollment  agreement (contract)

• Application form

• Society membership form

• Copy of child’s passport or birth certificate

• Parent's Rights (required for preschool/kindergarten students)

Siblings of existing students, as well as children of staff members, have priority when awarding spots. This process must be completed by January 31 of the application season.

Starting February 1, new families will be eligible for all open spots.
